As a physician assistant in ER medicine I thought I was exempt from disease, until at the age of 36 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. The only thing I knew about OVC before my diagnosis was that it was the silent killer.  I now know much more about this silent killer and hope to save other’s from having to go through the horror of this disease.  After taking 7 months off of work for treatment, I’m happy to be back being the provider instead of the patient. I’m spreading the word about this silent killer and being even more careful when it comes to patients with symptoms of Ovarian Cancer.
