29 Years Old and Newly Married

I was 29 years old and newly married. We were pregnant with our first child, but I had complications. It turned out that I was having a Molar Pregnancy. After 2 D&Cs, my OBGYN referred me to a gyno oncologist who began me on chemotherapy to treat the cancer that developed during the Molar Pregnancy, Choriocarcinoma. 6 months later, after lots of chemo and a hysterectomy, there was No Evidence of Disease! It was such a tough time and we lost a lot, but I had a great support system. Especially my husband – he shaved his head, too!
