When a devastating earthquake leveled Haiti in 2010, the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) responded with a program for emergency reconstruction. Soon after, Spark Media set out for the beleaguered nation and filmed the economic development made possible by the Haiti Emergency Spending Allocation Request program (HESAR), to show its donor countries the very real and positive impact their money was having on the people and communities affected. In addition to encouraging those international relief efforts, HESAR received multiple industry awards for its innovative hybrid format of motion graphic animation and documentary footage.
