James Mirabello is a seasoned producer and production manager who has been with Spark Media since 2000, guiding the company’s projects from development to completion with keen, effective and, resourceful management skills. Most recently, he served as production manager for Public Defender and Scattering CJ, and as co-producer and lead archival researcher for First Lady of the Revolution and Soul of a People: Writing America’s Story the latter earning five TIVA Peer Awards, including “Best of D.C.” His extensive production credits also include associate producer on Prince Among Slaves, production manager for No Evidence of Disease and The Pact, and production associate and archival researcher for Partners of the Heart.  Beyond documentaries, Mirabello is a producer and writer on the podcast The People’s Recorder and was a key creative force behind El 48, a groundbreaking virtual reality experience that premiered at the National Museum of Costa Rica with the country’s president in attendance. With a sharp eye for storytelling, deep historical insight, and an unyielding dedication to impactful narratives, Mirabello continues to bring compelling stories to life, ensuring they resonate with audiences worldwide.
