The earthquake in Haiti shocked and awakened the world to the country’s dire need for long-term economic development. Funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, Unleashing the Power of Partnerships speaks to the private sector, opening eyes to the possibilities that exist in a reconstructed Haiti, and putting a human face on their potential partners of the future: a mango farmer and a family of mango exporters; a young, slum-resident schoolgirl and her teacher; a successful textile factory owner and his workers; a Harvard-educated Haitian entrepreneur; and a visionary Haitian university professor with a master plan to restructure and save his country’s educational system.
