The Game of Peace
At Spark, we believe firmly that storytelling should not be confined to one medium or one platform. For the educational outreach campaign for our documentary First Lady of the Revolution, we wanted to include a component that would engage youth in a deep, meaningful and interactive way.
Abolished! The Game of Peace is an educational twist on classic brick-breaking games. The game is inspired by the historic abolition of the Costa Rican Armed Forces and the iconic image forever attached to the event: Costa Rica’s visionary leader and President, Don Pepe, using a sledge hammer to knock down the walls of the country’s military headquarters, the Cuartel Bellavista on December 1st, 1948.
Abolished! The Game of Peace is currently under development, but the beta version is now available in the Apple App Store.
